I think all of the scientists deserve the money because of all the brilliant ideas they have

We all deserve it! I have mentored tens of students (~80) so far and I’m really excited to interact with them, especially when they are in the early stages of their career or in high school. The prize money will help organize more outreach and public engagement events in London. We’ll do them with or without this prize of course!

I think we all deserve it as we all have good ideas about what to do with the money. For me I want to donate it into outreach for charity work to help people with MS.

I definitely don’t deserve it over all of the many scientists on here. Everyone will use the prize money to engage and inspire more young people to enter into a career in science. I think the money could be used to purchase science equipment or kits that can be taken around schools that might amaze children and adults alike.

I like to think we all deserve the prize money! All of the scientists participating here are clearly very passionate about outreach and developing opportunities for young people in science- any one of them would no doubt use the money to create something amazing for you guys!

If I happened to be the lucky scientist, I’d use the money towards setup of a day for school students to get involved in science at universities and check out some subjects that they may not have heard of before. I didn’t know anything about my field until my first university open day, so I’d have loved to have the opportunity to discover it in school and tailor my subjects/plans to it!

It’s the most difficult question? To be honest, I do not really care whether I get the prize money or not but I really enjoy these sessions and love to inspire the future generation of great minds. Whether I deserve the prize money or not should be independently decided by you students since I tried to inspire and answer your questions and inspire you and you.

I don‘t think I deserve the prize money more than any of the other scientist. I am sure all my fellow Healthy World Zone scientist will use it towards a great cause.

If I do get awarded the prize money, I will be really honoured to know that I was able to ignite my passion for science/biology in you.
The prize money will travel all the way to a coastal community of vibrant young people in the Dominican Republic, who are realising that the well-being of our planet is dependent on their participation as civilians as well. The tons of rubbish that we have generated and is polluting our oceans should be of great concern to all of us. It is not only negatively impacting other environmental systems, it is also affecting livelihoods who depend on healthy marine ecosystems for business and food security.

The young people in the Dominican Republic deserve the prize, I deserve the prize and you deserve the prize, because it will go towards a cause that will help all of us 🤗

I deserve the prize money as it will go towards the work I do as a STEM Ambassador in inspiring the young generation to pursue a career in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

I genuinely think all scientists taking part in the Healthy World Zone deserve the prize money for the time they devote and for the brilliant research they do! 😀

If I had to say for myself, if I won the prize money I would use it to organise an event at my university and invite schools over Leicester to participate. The aim of this event would be to get students in touch with scientists, they will have the opportunity to ask questions, see live experiments happening, and hopefully get inspired to be the next generation of scientists and researchers!

I feel all the other scientists deserve the prize money more than me. I would like to raise awareness of organ donation within schools. I feel we need to start awareness at a young age so children can grow up and ensure they are aware of organ donation and change attitudes.

I feel privileged to be able to talk to young people about science through these platforms.

I don’t deserve it more than others. I think all scientists that want to help you guys get some education in STEM deserve the money.
If you’re unsure, maybe it would be fun to choose someone that would *do* something with/for you, organise an event or something so that you can get to know real scientists in person and ask as many questions as you can think.
Personally, I’d like to buy science kits and organise learn&play event(s)
