      There are several possible treatments for cancer, depending on the type of cancer and the patient. The most common ones are radiotherapy (use of radiation to kill the cancer), chemotherapy (use of chemicals that attack cancer cells), immunotherapy (use of drugs that boost the immune system to help it fight cancer), surgery and so on. Currently there is a lot of research around the world to find new treatments that are more effective to kill the cancer and have less side effects for the patients.
