      It varies depending on where you work (Academia or Industry) and the position you hold at the institution. Salary can range from £25k all the way up to £100k plus for the top professors!

      For the health service if you are newly qualified you can earn from 30k upwards and directors earn 100k and above.

      Managers earn from 55K etc

      I work in a university and my position is called ‘postdoc’ or ‘research associate’. In the UK the salary for this position goes from £30k to £45k depending on experience and location
