  Because they hold such amazing potential not only to treat disease but to also really understand how one cell can have the power to generate all types of cells of the tissue it is in. If we can truly understand how they are able to do this for the lifetime of an individual, then it opens up a huge new area of stem cell biology and how we could use this to benefit further treatments.
