You would need to study study study. Getting into medicine is very competitive these days so you need to achieve very good grades in Biology, chemistry, Physics, Maths. It is also very beneficial to gain as much work experience as you can in medical situations, volunteer at hospitals, hospices, get a job as a carer or working at a GP practice. Take every opportunity that you can.
Then apply for medicine, and again study hard at university. Once you have completed your medical degree you can then begin to specialise more. But the studying doesn’t just stop when you graduate. To become a child dr (Paediatrician) you have to be highly specialised and have a very good way in talking to and dealing with young people and their families. I also think that paediatricians have to be incredibly strong, as some of the things that they must see happening to young children must be very tough.
You will have to get a medical degree(MBBS) or equivalent and then work towards specialising as a paediatrician by taking exams and post grad courses as well as relevant experience as you practise.
