Seeing my pumpkins and courgettes grow in the summer makes me ridiculously happy – the harvest is typically tiny but it is all about the fun during the growing process : )
I played the violin when I was in school, but have recently started again and am now by far the oldest beginner in the music school – I do however enjoy it a lot, it is a lovely balance to my work.
My daughter, Lilia, keeps me very busy, she recently started school and we are in the process of reading our first easy book together which is hugely exciting for her!

The placenta is like a life-support system for the growing baby. We use a large scanner which uses magnetic fields to take images of the shape but also of the oxygen in the placenta and of the blood flowing in from the mum’s vessels. This information helps us to tell the doctors if the baby will be born too early and if it is growing as it should.

My Typical Day:
We have breakfast early as some little person in our house tends to wake up early. I then go to the lab or work from home to either do experiments or write about the results of our research. I typically spend a lot of time discussing with my students and helping them with their projects.
